What does a Full Bathroom Renovation Involve?

At Best Brisbane Bathrooms we work with a team of QBCC-licensed tradespeople to transform your bathroom into its best possible version. As with all renovations it can take a bit of time and can include all of the following steps:

• Stripping out old fixtures, fittings and tiling – essentially demolishing your old bathroom. We’ll even remove asbestos if needs be.
• Disconnecting old pipes and wiring where required and installing new piping/wiring – this step would only be required if you want to move fixtures and electrical outlets around OR if the wiring or plumbing is old or damaged.
• Installing wooden structures like bath and shower bases.
• Plastering or rendering walls, floors and ceilings.
• Waterproofing – this involves applying a primer, sealing gaps with silicone and then applying a waterproofing agent and membrane.
• Installing tiling – this can take a couple of days depending on the size of tiles you’ve selected and the level of detail in the tile layout.
• Installing cabinetry followed by installation of all other fixtures including the toilet, the basin and light fittings.
• Installing accessories like doorknobs, towel rails and cabinet handles..
• Painting or wallpapering.
• Finally: the clean up.
