Who we are and scope
Best Brisbane Bathrooms provides bathroom, shower and laundry renovation services across Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounding areas. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, by phone or email, during consultations and while providing our services.
We aim to handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements, including the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- your suburb, property address and preferred contact time;
- details about the rooms, timing, budget, selections and scope of your proposed renovation;
- photos, plans, measurements, site notes and correspondence you provide;
- quote, contract, payment and project records where you become a customer;
- feedback, complaints and other communications; and
- basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps recorded by website infrastructure for security and reliability.
We do not intentionally request sensitive information through the website. Please only provide information relevant to your enquiry or project.
How we collect information
We usually collect information directly from you when you call or email us, use the guided quote form, request a consultation, meet us on site, approve a quote or communicate during a project.
The guided quote form prepares an email in your device’s email application. Information entered into the form is not sent to us until you choose to send that email. We may also receive relevant information from a co-owner, authorised representative, supplier or trade involved in your project.
How we use and disclose it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess project suitability, arrange consultations, prepare quotes, plan and deliver agreed work, coordinate trades and suppliers, manage accounts and records, resolve concerns, improve our services, and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
Where reasonably necessary, relevant details may be shared with trusted trades, suppliers, consultants, insurers, professional advisers, IT or email providers, hosting providers and authorities. We do not sell personal information.
Website data, cookies and third parties
Our hosting and security providers may process standard request information to deliver and protect the website. The site may link to or embed third-party services, such as video platforms. Those providers may collect technical data under their own privacy policies when you use their content.
We do not currently claim to operate behavioural advertising or marketing tracking through this website. If material analytics, advertising or cookie-based tracking is introduced, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before activation.
Storage, security and overseas processing
Information may be kept in business email, devices, project files, accounting records and systems operated by service providers. We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Some technology, hosting, email or embedded-media providers may process or back up information outside Australia. Their processing locations can change and may include countries where their infrastructure operates. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
How long we retain information
We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected, to maintain project and warranty records, resolve disputes and meet tax, insurance, building and other legal record-keeping requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request a correction if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Contact us using the details below and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
We will respond within a reasonable period. If an exception prevents access or correction, we will explain the reason where the law allows us to do so.
Questions and privacy complaints
For a privacy question or complaint, email admin@bestbrisbanebathrooms.com.au or call 07 3608 5713. Please describe the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge the matter and investigate it within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Visit oaic.gov.au for current guidance.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, website or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its updated date.
